Koolkuna Women's Refuge

Community Key provided $850 to the Women's Refuge to enable them to give a copy of "Fresh Start" to every woman accommodated at the refuge in the next 12 months.

“Fresh Start” is a self help book written by Lorraine Brown and the Patricia Giles Centre specifically for women who are living in a domestic or family violence situation.  It is simply written and assists women to understand what is happening to them, how they are likely to be feeling and what they are able to do to about it. It includes lots of information and a variety of useful contact numbers for services who may support them.


 

Lockridge Senior High School

Community Key provides a scholarship of $250 each year to assist a senior school student stay at school and achieve their goals.  We are also members of the Industry Links committee, and together with other business people work with the school in practical ways to assist students make an effective transition from school to work. 


Eastern Hills Hawks Junior Football Club

 

Community Key have supported the Hawks through printing leaflets, newsletters etc.  We are happy to support any community activity which encourages young people to develop healthy lifestyles and promote the development of social and personal skills.


Parkerville Panthers Basketball Club

Community Key sponsors the Panthers each season to assist them maintain a successful Club.  The Panthers are a long established Club and encourage skills and personal development of young people in the Hills.


Christmas Donations

Each year Community Key rather than send Christmas Cards, donates $500 to a local group to assist them enhance service delivery.
