Valued Volunteers

Swan Volunteers and the City of Swan Community Development Team acknowledge how valuable volunteers are to our community. The City has invited Community Key to coordinate the Valued Volunteer (VV) program, a community/business partnership to acknowledge and reward volunteers. Swan Chamber of Commerce and Community Newspapers have also joined as partners. The program was launched at the Thank A Volunteer day in December 2008.

The program encourages local businesses to provide discounts or special offers to volunteers. People who are volunteers with agencies on the Swan Volunteers database are issued with a VV card which they can show to participating businesses to receive their discount or offer. Participating businesses are provided with a sticker for their window, and their details and the discount they offer are on the database linked below, and sent out to each new volunteer when they receive their VV card. Discount offers will be valid for one year from January to December.
